The Integrated Urinalysis Panel: An Overview

What the integrated urinalysis panel is, why Dr. Younker may raise it during a nutritional consultation, and what it does not do.

Pending final review by Dr. Dean Younker, D.C. · Published 2026

This overview is published in draft form and is pending final clinical review.

What it is

An integrated urinalysis panel is a screening tool used in nutritional practice to look at several markers together rather than one at a time. Dr. Younker may raise it when a patient's recurring complaints have a plausible nutritional component worth exploring.

What it is not

It is not a diagnostic test for disease, and it is not a substitute for laboratory work ordered and interpreted by your physician. No result from this panel should lead you to change or stop a prescribed treatment without speaking to the prescriber.

How it would come up

Nutritional questions are discussed during your initial consultation. If the panel seems appropriate for your situation, Dr. Younker will explain what it involves, what it can reasonably tell you, and what it cannot, before anything is arranged.
